Positive features
The place is located in the heart of the city, thus it is accessible without a taxi. The girls are quite pretty.
Negative features
PAY ATTENTION! They OVER-CHARGE. It falls into the „NON-RECCOMMENDED” category. In general, they use two different lists for the drinks!!! In addition to this, it is sex-free. They employ dancers only. The interior space is small, the design is not attractive, and the place is uncomfortable.

Be careful, because overcharging appears in this club, especially if you are not hungarian. We went with a bigger company, and the bill was unrealistic. We just had few drinks and watched the show. No way it costs more then 150 Euros...

It’s an extraordinarily cramped and expensive place. The girls are not too kind, either. Despite the fact, that we were the only ones in Váci utca, in the centre of Budapest, we didn’t feel like we were guests and that people wanted to make us happy. In reality we even felt embarrassed, as though we were doing them a favour by being there. At the end we received a brutal bill as well, so this strip club didn’t impress me at all. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

I don’t recommend this place to anyone. Unfortunately there’s not a single reason for me to come back here. The space for visitors is extraordinarily small, the girls aren’t pretty and they aren’t nice at all. The prices are unrealistic.

It was just bad luck that we wandered into a trap – the Carpe Diem strip club on a pedestrian street in Budapest. What a mistake! As soon as we sat down, three girls came over to our table, and when we got the bill a half hour later, we had a nasty shock. The girls’ drinks, which anyway they brought over to our table themselves, were included on our bill for 259 euro. Naturally we didn’t want to pay for these girls’ drinks, but they were forced on us regardless. In the end they lowered it a bit, I forget by how much, but we still had to pay in the area of 300 euro. A warning to everybody: stay away from the Carpe Diem! I’m sure we aren’t the only ones they have ripped off! They must live off of scammed tourists.

We racked up a 300 euro in expenses in just over a half an hour. We made the mistake of catching a taxi in the centre of town – we’d already had a few – and that’s how we wound up at the Carpediem. Just as soon as we took a seat, a couple of dancing girls showed up holding drinks, and they took their seats alongside us. Who would have suspected that they would ever pull a fast one like that? In the end, not only did we have to pay for the girls’ drinks, but our own, as well we, and at just stratospheric prices, to boot. Not to everybody who reads this page: don’t let any of this happen to you! Steer well clear of taxis and places similar to this in Budapest.

During my travels in Budapest, I managed to find the biggest pack of crooks in the city. Luckily, I just had two beers, and even this way I shelled out 40,000 HUF, which I don’t even what to convert to euro, because I’ll be sick to my stomach. Let’s just say that in a normal place, two beers would cost exactly a tenth of that. I recommend everybody to steer way clear of this place. I won’t say that you can’t find good clubs that you can go to, because I have been lots of times in place where nothing out the ordinary happened. Well this time I had bad luck and I learned from it.

I had two really bad experiences in Budapest last week unfortunately. Both happened right in the middle of the city, on Váci utca. First we were just strolling down the street, which is actually really nice and tidy, when these two average looking girls came up to us with a map, asking us where something was. We obviously didn’t know the answer, but then we started talking about something completely different. They claimed to be students who had just arrived to Budapest. They knew this dance club with live music, and they took us there. Later we found out they weren’t students at all, but employees of the club, where they trick foreigners into entering with such cheap ploys. They managed to trick us as well, we hardly drank anything but we had to pay 200 euros. What could we do, we just left, but next day we happened to be on Váci utca one more time. We entered a strip club, where the same thing happened to us as the day before. We started talking to these two really hot strippers and at the end our bill included the drinks they had allegedly drunk. This of course wasn’t true, we didn’t invite them for anything, but we still had to pay for it. Afterwards I found all the warnings on the internet about how you have to be careful about things like this on Váci utca, but obviously it was too late by then. Whoever is about to travel to Budapest, please be careful and don’t fall for these tricks like we did.
